Jakarta April 04, 2018 - Tokopedia today officially announces its partnership with PT Asuransi Tokio Marine Indonesia (Tokio Marine) in providing Retail Logistic Insurance for Toppers (Users of Tokopedia, red). Tokio Marine will serve as insurer to protect against potential damages and loss of goods purchased by Toppers during the delivery process. This is expected to improve both serenity (peace of mind) and the customer experience.

Through the partnership with Tokio Marine, the usage of Logistic Insurance will become easier for Toppers, keeping in mind the lack of uniformity of services, including in terms of insurance premiums, standard operations, and the categories of goods that can be insured. Users can also file claims directly through the Tokopedia resolution center.

Tokio Marine Insurance can also be easily accessed. In the page Add to Cart, Toppers will be given the option to purchase insurance at an additional premium of 0.2% of the item price[1]. The insured amount given to Toppers will be the price of the goods together with the delivery cost.

Should there be any damage or loss in the delivery process, Toppers can file complaints within 1x24 hours upon receiving the goods. Tokopedia will process these claims by asking for confirmation of damage or loss with the delivery expedition company. After receiving confirmation, an investigation will be performed by Tokio Marine for 1x24 hours once the completed claim documents have been submitted. If approved, Tokio Marine will confirm the claim amount with Tokopedia to process the indemnity for Toppers.
