Tan Cheng Han
Professor Tan Cheng Han is a Professor at the Faculty of Law, National University of Singapore (“NUS”). He is also a Senior Counsel and arbitrator, and the Chairman of the NUS law school’s Centre for Law and Business. In addition to being a non-executive director of Tokio Marine Insurance Singapore Ltd., Professor Tan is also a member of the Audit Committee.
Professor Tan's current appointments include being the Chairman of the Media Literacy Council, Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Move-On and Filming Orders, Chairman of the Public Accountants Oversight Committee, a Commissioner of the Competition Commission of Singapore, a Council member of Sport Singapore, and a member of the Accounting & Corporate Regulatory Authority.
He currently sits on several boards which include Tokio Marine Life Insurance Singapore Ltd., Chuan Hup Holdings Limited, Singapore Technologies Marine Ltd, Anwell Technologies Limited, Global Yellow Pages Limited, Keppel Reit Management Limited and Caritas Singapore Community Council Limited.
Professor Tan obtained his Bachelor of Laws (Honours) Degree from NUS and Master of Laws Degree from the University of Cambridge. In 2006, he was awarded the Public Administration Medal (Silver).
Ooi Chee Kar
Ms. Ooi is a non-executive director of the Board of Tokio Marine Insurance Singapore Ltd. and a member of the Audit committee.
Ms Ooi currently also sits on the board of other organisations which include Tokio Marine Life Insurance Singapore Ltd., Pacific Radiance Limited, AusGroup Limited and Singapore Eye Research Institute.
Ms. Ooi was an Audit Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers (Singapore) until the end of 2012. She possesses more than thirty years of professional experience in the areas of audit, IPO related work, accounting advisory, regulatory compliance, internal control reviews and due diligence work.
She holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons) from the University of Singapore; and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, as well as the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants.
