What is TM Retirement GIO?

It is a limited pay, participating whole life plan which provides annual Cash Benefits for as long as you live, starting from the selected payout age which comprises of a guaranteed amount (2% of the sum assured1) and a non-guaranteed annual dividend (3.8%2 of the sum assured)

In addition:

  • Death coverage is provided
  • Premium Payment Terms available: 5, 10 or 15 years
  • Payout Ages available: age 55, 60 or 65
  • Guaranteed acceptance (no medical underwriting is required)

Note:
1 The sum assured in the plan is a notional value and is used purely for the purpose of determining the Cash Benefit and dividend. It does not represent the amount to be payable in the event of death.
2 These dividends are based on a projected investment rate of return of 4.75% p.a. on the Participating Fund. As these dividends are not guaranteed, the actual amount payable may vary according to the future performance of the Participating Fund.

Why is this important to you?

  • You will receive an annual retirement income in the form of Cash Benefits1 to let you live your retirement as you have planned.
  • You will receive 100% of your Total Annual Premiums2 paid in the form of a guaranteed surrender value once the policy starts disbursing Cash Benefits at your selected payout age.
Note:
1 The Cash Benefit consists of a guaranteed amount equivalent to 2% of the sum assured and a non-guaranteed dividend equivalent to 3.8% of the sum assured. These dividends are based on a projected investment rate of return of 4.75% p.a. on the Participating Fund. As these dividends are not guaranteed, the actual amount payable may vary according to the future performance of the Participating Fund.
2 It means the total annual premiums paid for the basic plan, even if the premium mode is monthly, quarterly or half-yearly, excluding any premium loadings and interest paid for loans and reinstatement (if applicable) under the policy.
