• Works with various groups within IT and the business to develop strategic solutions that make critical information available to business partners and supports those partners in the use and consumption of that information from the enterprise data warehouse
  • Manages projects as assigned; manages project plans, timelines, and vendor relationships to ensure projects are delivered with the highest quality, on time and within budget
  • Responsible for coaching and guiding junior staff in the application development best practices
  • Works with business analysts to understand data requirements, identify source systems and map source system data to data warehouse models
  • Responsible for the design, development and support of new and existing processes that extract required data from source systems and for facilitating the transformation and load of data into the enterprise data warehouse
  • Manages data warehouse modeling, design, security, data storage and data management initiatives as assigned to assure data integrity and processing efficiencies are maintained
  • Responsible for identifying, utilizing and promoting the use of industry standard tools to perform the extraction, transformation and load of data into the enterprise data warehouse

Education Level

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Business, MIS, Computer Science or Mathematics)


  • At lease 3 years of relevant experience
  • Detailed knowledge of Date Warehouse concepts and principles
  • Demonstrated experience in Extract Transform Load (ETL) process design, development, review, and testing
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: database development, data modeling, data architecture, data warehouse development, business intelligence, data profiling, database performance optimization
  • Experience decomposing complex business requirements into technical specifications and providing related technical recommendations
  • Working knowledge and understanding of relational and dimensional data models
  • Strong project management skills / experience managing projects, budgets, and schedules to successful completion
  • Demonstrated problem solving, collaboration, and analytical skills
  • Experience with source control repositories
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with various levels of IT management, staff and business stakeholders
  • (Plus) Prior work experience in Property & Casualty Insurance and familiarity with related terminologies and processes is preferred; experience with life, health and annuity insurance will also be considered
  • (Plus) Knowledge of insurance industry technology standards and frameworks such as ACORD and/or IBM's IAA data models is preferred
