Third Party Liability Coverage

Exclusion for third party loss of life or bodily injury

• Driver of the motor vehicle who is legally liable, and his/her employees, spouse, parents and children of such driver

Exclusion of third party property damage

• Property which is owned or under the care, control or possession of the Insured, or the driver, and his/her spouse, parents and children of the insured or the driver.
• Weighbridge, vehicle bridge, railway bridge, road, race track, foot path, lawn or anything underneath, caused by vibration or weight of the motor vehicle or its load
• Any luggage or other property
  • Carried on board a motor vehicle
  • Loaded in a motor vehicle
  • While being loaded to or while being unloaded from the motor vehicle
  • Being lifted from one place to another
• Damage to property resulting from a leakage of chemical substance or hazardous goods carried on a motor vehicle, unless such leakage arises from
  • A motor accident
  • Leakage of gas or fuel from the running engine running of a motor vehicle

General Exclusion

The insurance under this section does not cover liability arising from:

• Use of the motor vehicle outside the territory covered
• Use of the motor vehicle for illegal purposes such as robbery, burglary or drug trafficking
• Use of the motor vehicle for racing
• Use of the motor vehicle for towing or pushing a motor vehicle except if the vehicle being towed or pushed is insured with the Company or the vehicle itself is a traction engine or the brake systems are joined together
• Liability assumed under an agreement made by the driver which, in the absence of such agreement, would not have arisen
• Driven by a person who, while driving , has an alcohol content in the blood of not less than 50 milligram percent

Own Damage Coverage

• Depreciation or wear and tear of the motor vehicle
• Breakage of  any mechanical part of the motor vehicle or breakdown or failure of any mechanical or electrical part of the motor vehicle not arising from an accident
• Direct damage to the motor vehicle arising from carriage of load or load or number of passengers in excess of that authorized and not arising from an accident
• Damage to tyres of the motor vehicle arising from tearing or bursting, except the loss of other parts of the motor vehicle simultaneously occurs
• Loss arising from loss of use of the motor vehicle except when such loss arises from an unreasonable delay in repair caused by us

Exclusion of Use:

The insurance does not cover

• Use of the motor vehicle outside the territory covered.
• Use of the motor vehicle for illegal purposes, such as robbery, burglary or drug trafficking.
• Use of the motor vehicle for racing.

Exclusion of Other Usages:

Use of the motor vehicle

• For towing or pushing a motor vehicle except if the vehicle being towed or pushed is insured with the Company or the vehicle itself is a traction engine or the brake systems are joined together
• At time of accident outside the scope as specified in the policy schedule

The motor vehicle is driven by

• a person who, while driving, has an alcohol content in the blood of not less than 50 milligram percent
• a person who has never obtained a license to drive any motor vehicle, or who has obtained it before but is disqualified to drive by law, or uses a driving license for motorcycle to drive a motor vehicle

Theft and Fire Coverage

Exclusion of Theft and Fire Coverage:

This insurance does not cover theft and fire damages caused by the following:

• Damage or theft resulting from burglary or robbery by individuals who are authorized to use or possess the motor vehicle according to an agreement, a leasing agreement, a hire purchase agreement, pawn agreement or individuals entering into such agreements
  
• Use of the motor vehicle outside the territory covered

Exclusions: This extension does not cover loss of life, loss of body organs or disability, arising directly or indirectly, wholly or partly from the commission of crime by the insured person.
