Dato’ Zainal Abidin Putih, aged 71, qualified as a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
He also sits on the boards of several Public Listed Companies and Private Limited Companies and is a trustee of the National Heart Institute Foundation and Perdana Leadership Foundation.
Dato’ Zainal has extensive experience in audit, having worked as a practicing accountant throughout his career covering many principal industries including banks, insurance, energy, transport, manufacturing, government agencies, plantations, properties, hotels, investment companies and unit trusts. He also has a good working knowledge of taxation matters and management consultancy, especially in the areas of acquisitions, takeovers, amalgamations, restructuring and public listing of companies. He had held positions as the Chairman of Pengurusan Danaharta Nasional Berhad, Adviser with Ernst & Young Malaysia and Country Managing Partner of Hanafiah Raslan & Mohamad. He was also Past President of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board (MASB) and previously a member of the Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission
7 March 2017 as a Director and member of the Audit, Nominating and Remuneration Committees. Dato Zainal was appointed Chairman of the Board on 23 March 2017. On 25 May 2018, Dato Zainal was appointed a member of the Risk Management Committee.

Experienced litigator specializing in land, commercial/corporate and banking litigation and has represented corporations and financial institutions in the High Court, Court of Appeal and Federal Court. He has considerable experience and knowledge in corporate work involving listing, reverse takeovers, management buy-out, boardroom strategy and company related matters. He is familiar and conversant with corporate, securities and banking laws and related government and fiscal policies and approvals.
He acts as a legal advisor and counsel for numerous local and international corporations in Malaysia and sits on the board, audit, remuneration, nomination and risk committees of several public-listed companies and foreign owned companies in Malaysia.
He is a registered trade mark agent with the Malaysian Register of Trade Marks Agents. He is also a Notary Public and Commissioner for Oaths and is a qualified mediator on the panel of the Malaysia Mediation Centre, Bar Council Malaysia and that of LEDR, Australia. He is a appointed member of the Disciplinary Committee under the Disciplinary Board, Bar Council of Malaysia.

Datin Hayati Aman Hashim has 30 years of experience in Accounting, Audit, Financial Reporting, Regulations & Policies and Project Management. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and a Master in Business Administration specialising in Finance, both from Northern Illinois University (USA). She qualified as a Certified Public Accountant with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Malaysia Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
She started her career in the Audit department of Price Waterhouse Kuala Lumpur in 1990. She then joined KPMG Malaysia’s Corporate Finance department and subsequently moved to KPMG Houston where she was an Assurance Manager. After two years, she rejoined KPMG Malaysia’s Corporate Finance department and was involved in corporate restructurings, winding ups and liquidations including several Danaharta cases.
She joined Land & General Berhad, a public listed company on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia, and was responsible for all aspects of Finance, Accounting, Treasury and Taxation for the group of companies.
Mr. Vezio joined Tokio Marine Asia Pte Ltd (“TMA”) in April 2019. He has extensive exposure and experience in the insurance business both in operational and senior management roles. He was most recently the Managing Director at Tokio Marine HCC leading the Financial Lines division. As Chief Technical Officer of TMA, he is overseeing the P&C Underwriting, Risk Management and Claims operations in the region.
Mr. Dang graduated from University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) major in Comp & Infor Science minor in Mathematics in 1983 and holds a Diploma in TQM (Total Quality Management) from Newport University USA in 1999. He also attended numerous courses such as Digital Transformation conducted by Boston Consulting Group and University of Virginia, Managing the Company of the Future conducted by London Business School and University of London during his career in IT.
Mr. Dang was a Chief Information Officer of a multinational insurer between 2013 to 2021 and subsequently appointed as Technical Advisor and act as a mentor for the incoming CIO and support management in advisory and direction on technology aspirations in relation to business strategies especially the Digital Enterprise until he retired in January 2022.
He has more than 30 years of experience in Information Technology (IT) in insurance industry, including role of VP in IT at a multinational insurer besides been appointed as its Head of Integration to lead and manage the integration of all aspects of IT in tandem to the amalgamation of business from the acquisition of another composite life insurer including its family takaful entity.
Hang Ming is a financial services industry veteran with 30 years of experience in banking, insurance and reinsurance. Prior to joining TMIM, he had been a CFO, and later CEO, of a multinational insurer and a ReTakaful company. Before joining the insurance sector, Hang Ming was in the banking industry covering consumer, corporate and investment banking.
Masaaki Morimoto has been with the Tokio Marine Group since 1998. He assumed his role as Deputy Chief Executive Officer in Tokio Marine Insurans (Malaysia) Berhad (TMIM) in March 2023. He will assist the CEO in the overall management of the Company and drive the Company towards meeting our objectives. Masaaki Morimoto has 24 years of experience in Tokio Marine Group of companies within Japan and United States of America (Guam).
Prior to joining TMIM, he spent the last four years as General Manager in Human Resources Department in Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co.,Ltd.
Evarine joined Tokio Marine in Jan 2020 as Chief Technical Officer and effective 1 January 2022, she took on the role as Chief Operating Officer, responsible for the overall core operations of Underwriting, Reinsurance, Claims, Operations, Information Technology and Transformation Office of the company.
She has 20+ years of experience in the insurance industry having served in various capacity in leading conglomerate & multinational insurance companies and a successful track record of building scalable result driven culture with a passion to lead challenging change initiative. Prior to joining Tokio Marine, she was a CEO and Country Head of a global reinsurance broking company.
Evarine holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) degree majoring in Finance. She is a Chartered Insurer of the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK as well as an Associate of the Malaysian Insurance Institute.
Sim rejoined TMIM on December 2018. He has more than 32 years of experience in the general insurance industry. Prior to TMIM, he held numerous senior positions in local and international insurance companies primarily responsible for developing of agency networks.
Tony is a certified Chartered Management Accountant as well as a Chartered Accountant. He has held senior leadership roles across numerous industries – hospitality and services, oil and gas, and spent a major part of his career in the financial services sector. He leads the Finance Division managing, formulating, developing and implementing sound financial strategies to support the company’s business initiatives.
Ka Weng moved to his present position in 2022, prior to which he was the Head of Actuarial and Appointed Actuary. He joined TMIM in 2018 from Tokio Marine Asia in Singapore, where he was responsible for the oversight and risk management of Group Companies in the SEA region. Ka Weng started his career over 14 years ago in actuarial consulting, where he provided consulting services to companies across Asia. His experience spans all aspects of general insurance, including valuation and reporting, pricing and analytics, reinsurance, capital modelling as well as enterprise risk management. Ka Weng is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK (IFoA), and also holds a Master of Commerce from Macquarie University, Australia.
Hans Kwek joined TMIM in October 2016 as Head of Agency Strategy before moving to his present position in Jan 2019. He has more than 39 years of experience in the Financial Services Sector out of which 19 years was in the Insurance Industry. Prior to joining TMIM, his experience encompasses stints as Regional Head, Chief Claims Officer and Chief Agency Officer in a multinational Insurer.
Wong Yoke Yin assumes the pivotal position of Head of Information Technology, effective April 1, 2024, bringing with her an illustrious career spanning 23 years in IT-related functions within the insurance sector. In her new role, Yoke Yin assumes the crucial responsibility of driving the development and implementation of information technology initiatives that seamlessly align with the company’s overarching business strategy to steer TMIM towards greater technological advancement and strategic success.
Kith joined Tokio Marine on 4 November 2019 as Head of Human Resources, where she is entrusted with overall Human Resources strategies and operations. She has cumulatively more than 15 years of HR experience in various organisations and has led and driven numerous HR transformation projects. Prior to joining Tokio Marine, she was the Head of HR for a multinational Life Insurer in Malaysia.
