Tokio Marine Donates THB 1.57 Million to Support Flood Recovery in Southern Thailand

Tokio Marine Safety Insurance (Thailand) PCL and Tokio Marine Life Insurance (Thailand) PCL., representing the Japan-based global insurer Tokio Marine Group, have jointly presented a donation of USD 50,000 (approximately THB 1.57 million) to the Thai Red Cross Society. The funds, contributed by Tokio Marine Holdings and Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd. in Japan, are designated to support the recovery of livelihoods for victims of the recent severe flooding in Southern Thailand.

The donation presentation ceremony was honored by Mr. Khan Prachuabmoh, Director of the Fund Raising Bureau, and Mrs. Janprapa Vichitcholchai, Deputy Director of the Fund Raising Bureau of the Thai Red Cross Society, who accepted the donation at the Fund Raising Bureau. Top management from both Thai companies attended the ceremony acting on behalf of the Group.

Mr. Suteechai Santivarakum, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Tokio Marine Safety Insurance (Thailand) PCL stated, “Although the floodwaters have receded, the impact on the livelihoods of the people in the Southern region remains significant. Our Headquarters in Japan expressed deep concern and recognized the necessity of supporting the recovery efforts. Consequently, this budget was approved to be forwarded to the Thai Red Cross Society, ensuring effective management in helping victims rebuild their lives".
