On December 26, 2012, PT Asuransi Tokio Marine Indonesia (TMI) along with PT Tokio Marine Life Insurance Indonesia (TMLI) held a blood donation at the office of TMI in Sentral Senayan I Building, 4th Floor.

Initiated by PT Asuransi Tokio Marine Indonesia, blood donation event took place on the 4th floor, Building Sentral Senayan I, which is the location of the office of TMI. The event was held continuously as one of its CSR activities to support the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI). The difference with the previous blood donor event which usually works together with other tenants of the Building Sentral Senayan, this time the event was held only for the purpose of internal participants employees of Tokio Marine.

At this event we also invite our corporate group of employees of PT Tokio Marine Life Insurance Indonesia to join as a participant blood donors. Although due to the availability of space, our initial target for the participants of the show is actually only 75 people. But when the event was held, we were quite surprised to see the interest of the participants who signed up actually exceeded the target. The number of participants who enroll end up to 81 people, and the event managed to collect the bags of blood from 68 participants, while 13 other participants failed to donate blood for various reasons. Even our President, Mr. Sato attend blood donor as a participant, but unfortunately not allowed by doctors from the Red Cross because he was preparing for the operation, which does not allow her to donate blood.

Of the total 81 participants who sign up, we are pleased to know that about 40% of that is a new person who decided to donate their blood for the first time. As we know that donating blood is not only benefits the person receiving your blood, but also can improve the health of the donor itself. Hopefully, more people will be aware of the importance of blood donation to help others.

As said, 'for us (blood donors) it only took a few hours, but for patients in need, may be able to save their lives.
"PT Asuransi Tokio Marine Indonesia will remain committed to hold a blood drive in the coming years as one of our CSR activities, as we believe, together we can save lives.
