Tokio Marine Group Donates USD 50,000 to the Indonesian Red Cross to Support Disaster Victims in Sumatra

The donation was symbolically handed over on 11 March 2026 at PMI Headquarters in a warm and collaborative atmosphere. The event was attended by PMI Chairman H. M. Jusuf Kalla; PMI Secretary General A. M. Fachir; members of the PMI management, as well as representatives from Tokio Marine Indonesia, namely Cahyo Adi, Compliance, RM, and HRGA Director; Shiro Ipposhi, Managing Director of PT Asuransi Tokio Marine Indonesia; and Nicholas Felix, Executive Officer of Nippon Koei. On this occasion, PMI expressed its appreciation for Tokio Marine Indonesia’s care and meaningful contribution in supporting humanitarian efforts for communities affected by disaster.

Natural disasters leave not only physical damage, but also significant challenges for many affected families. Through this contribution, Tokio Marine Group hopes to help ease the burden on impacted communities while supporting the ongoing recovery process.

On the same occasion, PMI Chairman Mr. Jusuf Kalla expressed his appreciation for the support and emphasized the importance of cross-sector collaboration in strengthening humanitarian efforts for disaster-affected communities.

Since 2010, Tokio Marine and the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) have built a sustained humanitarian collaboration through various donations to support communities affected by disasters in Indonesia. This support reflects a commitment that has been maintained over time and reaffirms Tokio Marine’s dedication to standing alongside society, not only through insurance protection, but also through meaningful action when it is needed most. As highlighted by H. M. Jusuf Kalla, collaboration between the private sector and humanitarian institutions plays an important role in strengthening support for communities facing difficult circumstances.
