Matthias Yao

Chairman

Mr. Matthias Yao is an Independent Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Board of Tokio Marine Life Insurance Singapore Pte. Ltd. and Chair of the Nomination & Remuneration Committee. In addition, he is a member of the Audit Committee and the Risk Management Committee.

Currently, he is also the Chairman of Tokio Marine Insurance Singapore Ltd. and sits on the board of Agmonton Pte. Ltd. He is also a Trustee of National Trades Union Congress.

Mr. Yao started his career with the Civil Service in 1980 as an Administrative Officer with rotation of postings to Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Community Development and Ministry of Communications and Information. He was elected into Parliament in 1991 and held the position of Senior Parliamentary Secretary before becoming Minister of State in the Ministry of Defence and the Prime Minister’s Office. He was a Deputy Speaker of Parliament before his retirement from public service. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Yao was a Board member with the Housing & Development Board, Deputy Chairman of NTUC Income and Special Adviser to the Board of NTUC Income. After his retirement, Mr. Yao held independent non-executive directorship positions in iFast Corporation Ltd and iFast Financial Pte Ltd.

He obtained his Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom.

Goh Seng Kee

Director

Mr. Goh Seng Kee is an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Board of Tokio Marine Life Insurance Singapore Pte. Ltd. and a member of the Audit Committee and the Risk Management Committee.

Mr. Goh has over two decades of investment management experience with various institutions in Singapore and Malaysia. Currently, he is a Non-Independent Executive Director of MFG Advisers Pte. Ltd. Prior to this, he was the Chief Executive Officer of an asset management company.

He obtained his MSc in Financial Engineering from the National University of Singapore, and is a CFA Charter holder.

Kuan Li Li

Director

Ms. Kuan Li Li is an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Board of Tokio Marine Life Insurance Singapore Pte. Ltd. and Chair of the Audit Committee. In addition, she is a member of the Nomination & Remuneration Committee and the Risk Management Committee.

Currently, she is also an Independent Non-Executive Director of Bund Center Investment Ltd, AIG Asia Pacific Insurance Pte. Ltd., Namak Investment Pte. Ltd., Freemont Capital Pte. Ltd., Winder Pte. Ltd., Salvia Investment Pte. Ltd., Stoneweg Europe Stapled Trust, and Executive Director of Ben & Nic Pte. Ltd.

She has over 30 years of leadership experience in banking, finance and tax across the banking, engineering, real estate and private equity sectors, as well as at the big four accounting firms.

She obtained her Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney, and is a Fellow of the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants.

Shusaku Takashima

Director

Mr. Shusaku Takashima is a Non-Executive Director of the Board of Tokio Marine Life Insurance Singapore Pte. Ltd. and a member of the Risk Management Committee. He is currently the Managing Executive Officer of Tokio Marine Holdings, Inc.

Mr. Takashima also sits on the Board of Tokio Marine Asia Pte. Ltd. and IFFCO-TOKIO General Insurance Company Limited.

He holds a Bachelor of Economics from The University of Tokyo and a Master of Business Administration from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at Georgetown University.

Tang Loo Chuan

Director

Mr. Tang Loo Chuan is a Non-Executive Director of the Board of Tokio Marine Life Insurance Singapore Pte. Ltd. and Chair of the Risk Management Committee. In addition, he is a member of the Audit Committee and the Nomination & Remuneration Committee. He is currently the Chief Life Officer of Tokio Marine Asia Pte. Ltd.

Mr. Tang also sits on the board of Tokio Marine Life Insurance Malaysia Bhd and concurrently holds the position of President Commissioner of PT Tokio Marine Life Insurance Indonesia.

He obtained his Bachelor of Business Degree (2nd Upper specialising in Actuarial Science) from the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries, United Kingdom (now known as Institute & Faculty of Actuaries).
